The IntelliCAD Technology Consortium licenses the IntelliCAD technology to its commercial members, who in turn market and sell applications based on IntelliCAD to their end users. The IntelliCAD Technology Consortium is an independent organization of software developers established specifically for the development of the IntelliCAD technology. Commercial members have access to the IntelliCAD source code, documentation, developer support, and more. DWG file compatibility
IntelliCAD uses DWGDirect from the Open Design Alliance as it's native file format. IntelliCAD opens, edits, and saves any existing DWG files saved in numerous versions, including Version 2.5 through 2007, without conversion or data loss. IntelliCAD provides industry-standard compatibility with the Autodesk AutoCAD software command set, as well as programming APIs, such as LISP and SDS (IntelliCAD's C programming API). Building applications
If you have existing applications that were built using the Autodesk ADS (AutoCAD Development System) interface or AutoLISP libraries, you can quickly use them in IntelliCAD using the same languages and functions you are used to. The Solutions Development System or SDS is a C/C++ language interface compatible with ADS. IntelliCAD includes a VBA object model to implement quick solutions or to create prototypes for SDS applications within your organization.
